  • 200 grams of fettuccine pasta
  • 1 piece cubed chicken breast
  • ½ cup of all-purpose cream
  • ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 tablespoon of butter
  • Finely chopped parsley
  • Salt and ground pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil


  1. In a pot of boiling water, put a dash of salt before putting in the pasta. Cook it until al dente which is about three minutes less than the instructions on the package. Get at least ⅔ cup of pasta water before draining for future use.
  2. With salt and pepper, season the chicken cubes and set aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat, melt the butter, then pan-fry the chicken until cooked through. Set aside.
  4. Pour the all-purpose cream into the pan. Stir and let boil.
  5. Put parmesan cheese and the cubed chicken into the pan. Cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the pasta, mix and toss. Then season with pepper and sprinkle in parsley.

Cheesy Baked Mussels

This cheesy baked mussels is usually an appetizer but, for us Filipinos, we wouldn’t mind eating this with rice. This dish is budget-friendly without the trading off flavor. It’s also an easy dish to make– just prepare, pop in your Hanabishi oven, and serve.


  • 1 pound of mussels
  • 0.5 cup of diced garlic
  • 0.5 tablespoon of minced parsley
  • ⅛ cup of grated quick-melt cheese
  • ⅛ cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil


  1. Prepare the mussels by soaking them in water for at least fifteen minutes. They will spit out any sand and grit.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil and put in the mussels. Cook until the shell starts to open up. Let them cool down and remove the other half of the shell.
  3. In a small pot over medium heat, add the oil and garlic. Cook until garlic turns golden brown. Set aside the garlic.
  4. Preheat your Hanabishi oven to at least 170C.
  5. On a baking tray, arrange the mussels and distribute butter and shredded cheese over each mussel. Put it inside the oven to bake for 5 minutes.
  6. Pull out the tray from the oven to sprinkle the fried garlic on top of the melted cheese. Then bake it for 3 to 5 more minutes.
  7. Remove the mussels for the over and let it cool. Put them into a platter before sprinkling the parsley on top.
